This policy explains what personal data Sahi.info processes, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
1. Who controls your data
Sahi.info is the data fiduciary/controller for personal data collected through this website. Privacy questions, access or deletion requests, and grievances can be sent to hello@sahi.info.
2. Data we collect
Public articles can be read without creating an account. If you contact us, we collect the name, email address (when supplied), message, selected contact reason, and basic technical data needed to prevent abuse. Hosting and security systems may process IP address, browser, device, request, and diagnostic log information.
3. Why we use it
We process contact details to answer messages, investigate corrections, secure the website, prevent spam, diagnose faults, and meet legal obligations. Optional analytics, advertising, and translation services are activated only after you accept optional cookies or similar storage.
4. Service providers and transfers
Contact messages are delivered through Telegram and may be processed on Telegram infrastructure. The website is hosted on Vercel and uses Neon for editorial content storage. If accepted, Google may process data for Translate or AdSense and Vercel may process analytics events. These providers may process data outside India under their own privacy terms and safeguards.
5. Cookies and choices
Essential storage supports site preferences and security. Optional Google services, advertising, and analytics remain disabled until you accept them in the cookie banner. You can clear the sahi_cookie_consent value in your browser storage to choose again. Browser controls can also block or delete cookies.
6. Retention
Contact messages are retained only as long as needed to respond, maintain a correction record, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations, and are reviewed for deletion within 12 months. Security and hosting logs follow the relevant provider retention settings. We do not sell personal data.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request a summary or copy of your personal data, correction, completion, updating, erasure, withdrawal of consent, or grievance redressal. Email hello@sahi.info with enough detail to verify and process the request. You may also nominate another person to exercise applicable rights where the law permits.
8. Children
The website is intended for a general audience and is not designed to collect personal data from children. Children should not submit contact information without a parent or lawful guardian. If we learn that a child's data was submitted improperly, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.
9. Security and incidents
We use access controls, signed secure sessions, encryption in transit, input limits, anti-spam checks, and security monitoring. No online system is completely secure. If a qualifying personal-data breach occurs, we will take containment and notification steps required by applicable law.
10. Updates
We may update this policy when our services or legal obligations change. The effective date below identifies the current version. Material changes will be presented prominently where appropriate.
