Quick verdict: Use Prime Day to buy an item already on your shortlist. If the final checkout price is not at least 10–15% below its normal street price, the banner is doing more work than the discount.

• The seller has weak recent feedback or no clear authorised-seller status.
• The deal depends on an unrealistic exchange quote.
• The return policy is replacement-only and local service is poor.
• You are buying because the timer is ending, not because the product solves a need.
• The same model is cheaper offline after including installation, accessories or trade-in.
